August 11th, 2007 at 7:56 amI am a hard rock music junkie going way back to the Zeppelin and Black Sabbath days. I went to quite a few concerts at the when I was younger and many are indelibly etched in my memory. Out of all of those concerts, the one that I will remember the most is when I had the great fortune to see Luciano Pavarotti in concert. It was a birthday request from an older friend that I partied with quite a bit. It was truly a memorable event, notwithstanding the fact that I had my long hair, rock n roll heavy leather jacket and ratty old converse sneakers on while everyone else there was wearing formal gowns and Tuxedos. The pizza, beer, and nacho stands were all closed and in their place were wine and cheese carts. The class and dignity of that show was a tremendous experience even though at the time I was going through an “Eat the Rich” phase of my wild youthful days.
